Yakuza fans must have been thrilled last week when it was announced that not one, but two additional entires in the venerable Japanese mobster series would be making their way to Nintendo Switch 2. Both Yakuza Kiwami and Yakuza Kiwami 2 will be landing on the console starting November 13, 2025. You can see the reveal in the trailer below:

Experience Japan’s criminal underground with the classic action-adventure beat ‘em up Yakuza Kiwami 2 on Nintendo Switch 2. Set in the fictional district of Kamurocho, the gripping drama will require you to master unique fighting styles as you journey through a story filled with love, betrayal and explosive combat. Also available on Nintendo Switch 2 will be Yakuza Kiwami, originally released on Nintendo Switch and now featuring enhanced graphics, improved frame rates, and more.
Graciously, SEGA is throwing consumers a bone and allowing those who already own Yakuza Kiwami on Nintendo Switch to upgrade to the Nintendo Switch 2 version at a discounted price. That helps take a little of the sting off for those who bought the game when it launched it last year. We loved Kiwami, and the launch of Yakuza 0 on Nintendo Switch 2 was one of the highlights of the system’s release into the world. More Yakuza on Nintendo consoles is only a good thing—hopefully the whole series makes its way to Nintendo Switch 2 in time.
