You knew it was coming, right? The additional amiibo announced for Kirby Air Riders, we mean. It was teased pretty heavily that the first two figurines that were shown off weren’t going to be alone, and sure enough during last week’s Nintendo Direct broadcast dedicated to the game, three more figures were revealed. Take a look:

And here are the standout takeaways from the Direct:
- Top Ride: Racing from a top-down perspective in this “nice and easy” mode.
- Road Trip: A new mode where players will take ondifferent challenges from Air Ride, City Trial and Top Ride including races, battles, and Field Events. You’ll also get the game’s story here.
- Paddock: Ostensibly a lobby, the paddock area lets players move around as a rider and arrange matches, interact with other players. and pick and choose which mode to play. There’s even a music players to change up the tunes.
- Swap Relay: A new type of race called Swap Relay was shown off. Here, select a machine for each individual lap and automatically swap between them while completing laps.
- amiibo: These particular amiibo are notably larger than typical amiibo, lest ye have forgotten. They also boast a beefier MSRP, as a result: $49.99 apiece. The amiibo will launch as follows:
- Meta Knight & Shadow Star: March 5, 2026
- King Dedede & Tank Star: 2026
- Chef Kawasaki & Hop Star: 2026

It’s also worth noting that all of the original tracks from Kirby Air Ride will be coming to Kirby Air Riders, which is nice for longtime fans. All of this and much more are making this game shape up to be one of the biggest releases from Nintendo this winter. Kirby Air Riders hits Nintendo Switch 2 starting November 20, 2025.
