Kirby Air Riders is Masahiro Sakurai’s surprise sequel to the 2003 GameCube title Kirby Air Ride. Launching on November 20, 2025, fans have been looking forward to seeing how the game will innovate off of the racing action of the original. One way that Air Riders will be distinguishing itself is with the addition of amiibo figurines that will have swappable racing vehicles for each character. Take a peek:
The figures, which launch the same day as the game, can be tapped to summon Figure Players in-game that can be trained and leveled up. Players can also swap riders just like in the game to make new rider and machine combos—the trailer alludes to these two figurines not being the only ones that will be available. Finally, a second Kirby Air Riders Direct, hosted by Mr. Sakurai, is coming. Once we learn the broadcast date, we’ll let you all know!
