Super Kiwi 64 is the latest retro-inspired, low-poli platformer from developer Marcus “Siactro” Horn. Released in December of 2022, the game is a delightful romp with throwback visuals and snappy, fun platforming gameplay. If you were hoping for a bit more to experience in Super Kiwi 64, you’re in luck, as Siactro will be unleashing a free content update this week on Friday, January 26. The expansion is dubbed Doomsday and you can see it in motion, below:
Here’s what Siactro says about the update:
This is a kinda bonkers and rather experimental update for Super kiwi 64! I don’t know what I was thinking, it just happened and it might feel a bit raw since I got out of my comfort zone and tried a lot of new things… hope you still enjoy it either way!
It’s coming january 26th to the steam and switch version of Super Kiwi 64 and like I said: It’s free!
Also yes: This is way more enjoyable to people who have played Macbat 64 and Toree 3D, but it should be fine either way 🙂
As noted above, elements from previous titles like Toree 3D (which is similarly fabulous) will be incorporated, along with new story cinematics and a file select menu. As Siactro is won’t to do, Super Kiwi 64 is already a bargain at $2.99, but as if that isn’t already tempting enough, the impending update will also be free of charge. We highly recommend keeping this one on your radar, folks.
