But just who is cleaning up all that paint?

Splatoon 2, Nintendo’s paint-slinging  shooter, has sold more than two million copies in Japan since it launched in July 2017, becoming the first Switch game to reach the milestone.

Famitsu have tracked the game’s sales between July 21 2017 and February 11 2018 and found that the total number sold in that time came to 2,016,182. That’s a whole lot of inklings in the world! Importantly, these figures don’t include any digital sales of the game, and so the actual figure is likely to be much higher than this.

In our review of the game last year, Robert called it “a brilliant and rare game that manages to outshine its predecessor, and… yet another reason to own a Switch.” As with its predecessor, Splatoon 2 has continued to get post-release DLC — the most recent of which came out just last week.

Is Splatoon 2 still loaded in your Switch or are you one of the untracked owners of a digital copy of the game? Let us know in the comments!
