Japan is supporting indie game developers by introducing the So-Fu Project. This accelerator program aims to advance and help indie game developers with mentorship, financial support, and connections with businesses. This program will give more developers chances to create new games for Nintendo. That’s awesome, right? Some of So-Fu’s mentors include the famous Masashi Kimura and Flamebair Games’ Tomoko Miya.

The So-Fu Project is a four-part game program involving lectures, going over production plans, and more! However, people who apply must be under the age of 35 and have graduated from junior high school by April 1, 2024. This will also give Nintendo a burst in creativity as the younger generation of Indie Japanese developers will have until April 26 to sign up. So be on the lookout for new games as the program kicks into gear.
