At the recent Pokémon presentation held in Japan, The Pokémon Company announced Pokémon Quest, a free-to-start title available on Switch now.
The game has an interesting voxel art style which we haven’t seen before with the Pokémon franchise. It takes places on Tumblecube Island and features a simplified battle system which is relatively easy to get to grips with.
Players attach special items call Power Stones to Pokémon to strengthen their team and battles are then either semi or fully automated depending on your preference. Catching monsters is also made easier this time around, as they are lured to your camp by the various recipes that you will need to concoct.
You can see what the game looks like in action in its announcement trailer below:
The game is available on the Switch eshop now and is coming to mobile devices in late-June. It was announced alongside two brand new games coming to Switch later this year, which you can read more on here.
