December 7, 2018 can’t come soon enough for countless gamers, for it is the day where the world will be graced with a new Smash Bros. game. As is the case with most major releases, Nintendo is giving gamers some extra, more costly choices, when they go to pick up the game on that anticipated day. One such choice will be the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Special Edition.
This version of the game will come with a new, special version of the Switch Pro Controller with a brand-new paint scheme in addition to the steelbook case revealed a few weeks ago. This controller will also be available separately, so those who might prefer a digital release can still get one. Of course, Nintendo also confirmed a while ago that GameCube controllers will once again be an option via the USB adapter originally released on Wii U.
The Special Edition will retail for $139.99.
