For collectors, steelbooks represent a nice display piece: they don’t take up any extra room, and they add a little extra pizzazz to the shelf compared to other game cases. While North American Switch owners have had some nice steelbook options thanks mostly to Limited Run Games, other territories are getting them for this year’s biggest releases. Last month, a pair of exclusive steelbooks were announced for Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Eevee in Japan. Now, we have an apparent exclusive in the UK for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate!
Like many other steelbook releases, this one has some requisite hoops to jump through to acquire it. Fans will have to buy the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Limited Edition to acquire it. That particular bundle includes the game, the case, a GameCube controller and the GameCube controller adapter. At this time, there isn’t a similar bundle in North America. Hopefully this will see release in the region in some way, regardless!
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is scheduled to release December 7.
