It certainly is an ongoing 30th anniversary bash for dear Kirby, now isn’t it? The fun hasn’t stopped with the recently released Kirby’s Dream Buffet. During the last Nintendo Direct broadcast, it was announced that Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe is on the way. The 2011 Wii title has been overhauled in HD and will launch February 24, 2023. You can see it in action here:
Here’s an overview of the game in case you’ve forgotten (or never played it):
The heroic puffball’s Wii game is returning… this time in deluxe proportions! One day, a mysterious spaceship crash-lands on Planet Popstar. To help the mysterious Magolor, Kirby and his friends set off on a captivating quest. When inhaling certain enemies, Kirby will gain access to a wide range of Copy Abilities – with the new Mecha Copy Ability making its debut! The game supports multiplayer for up to four players on the same system by sharing Joy-Con controllers. Plus, everyone can play as Kirby at the same time while using their favorite Copy Abilities! There’s also a collection of subgames to play, including returning ones like Samurai Kirby and new ones like Magolor’s Tome Trackers.
Note that a fresh Copy Ability, Mecha, has been added to this version of Return to Dream Land, as well as the ability for four players to simultaneously play as Kirby himself. This game’s subgames are among some of the most beloved in the series, so fans will definitely want to keep Return to Dream Land Deluxe on their radars.
