Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave was announced back in September of last year, and since that reveal Nintendo hasn’t said much about the game. With the recent Nintendo Direct showcase that all changed, as Nintendo suddenly had quite a lot to say about Fortune’s Weave, including the release date. First, let’s see the game in motion in this trailer:
Fortune’s Weave is looking to be another ambitious entry in the long-running Fire Emblem series of strategy games. In Fortune’s Weave, players are introduced to something called the Heroic Games. There are four heroes/paths to choose between, which are:
- Cai: a young boy determined to save his imprisoned father
- Dietrich: a swordsman ever on the hunt for a stronger foe
- Theodora: a queen seeking to fulfill the long-held dream of her homeland
- Leda: a musician with her sights set on revenge
Nintendo also talks about the city of Dagsion, where players can “learn new techniques at the training grounds, strengthen bonds to recruit new allies, and travel outside Dagsion’s walls to gain additional experience.” It’s looking like Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave is going to be packed with content for players to dig into when it launches for Nintendo Switch 2 on September 17, 2026.
