Dragon’s Dogma 2 came out back in 2024, never quite managing a Nintendo release. That will be rectified this fall when Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen comes to Switch 2. This expanded version of the game boasts all of the original content plus a lot more. Take a look:
Dragon’s Dogma 2 is a third-person action RPG where players are cast as an Arisen, someone marked by a dragon that must eventually be defeated in battle. AI-controlled Pawns are allies that aid the player throughout the adventure as they explore the game world and take on various tasks and defeat monsters. Dark Arisen promises all of that and more:
The Dark Arisen Expansion summons the Arisen to the long-abandoned Northern region of Norgan, where they must join forces with the enigmatic Eir to unravel the secrets of the undying Fallen Dragon. Throughout their journey, the Arisen must unearth and appraise forgotten relics to unlock powerful new weapons and skills. The expansion also introduces 12 Lost Rites Dungeon Challenges. These freshly uncovered dungeons house trials designed by the Pathfinder to sharpen the Arisen’s skills and recover rare equipment once held by past Arisen that now lay dormant.
Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen will come to Nintendo Switch 2 on October 9, 2026.
