Believe it or not, it has already been five years since Detective Pikachu launched on Nintendo 3DS. In the years since the game has gone on to become a very successful film with a sequel in development. Now, it’s time for the game to get its own follow up, which will be in the form of Detective Pikachu Returns. Give it a gander:
Detective Pikachu is back, along with his trusty human sidekick Tim Goodman in tow. The duo will once again explore Ryme City, solving mysteries together in this “cinematic adventure game.” The game appears to be sticking with the continuity established in the 3DS game and not the film, but what the story entails is still a bit of a mystery. Nonetheless, Detective Pikachu Returns is sure to excite fans of both the game and movie when it released on October 16 for Nintendo Switch.
