Nintendo Direct Airing Tomorrow

After tipping off fans in May to the (arguably unsurprising) news that it would be doing a broadcast this month, everyone has just been waiting for when in June the next Nintendo Direct would air. Now, fans finally know: tomorrow, June 18, 2024! Here’s the announcement made via Nintendo’s official X account:

Join us for a #NintendoDirect livestream focused on #NintendoSwitch games coming in the second half of 2024! There will be no mention of the Nintendo Switch successor during this presentation.

The presentation will tip off at 7 AM PST and is expected to last roughly 40 minutes. As the May announcement made clear, and as is reiterated in this post from Nintendo, there will be no word on the successor to Switch during this broadcast. That said, many are wondering what Nintendo has up its sleeve for the rest of 2024 and beyond in terms of its upcoming software launches, including what the latest is regarding Metroid Prime 4, which has been gestating for years now.
