Yesterday, Ryan Reynolds released a short video online detailing the depth of the Pokémon: Detective Pikachu star’s method acting. Pokémon fans will have to wait until May to find out the film’s actual quality, but it certainly bodes well to see Reynolds throwing himself so deep into the role!
Of course, the whole thing was just a fun bit of promotion for the live action film’s latest trailer, which debuted just this morning. The trailer certainly lived up to the hype, featuring the debut of a number of new Pokémon, including one of the franchise’s most popular creatures!
While the presence of Mewtwo had certainly been rumored prior to this unveiling, it’s still very much exciting to see the clone of Mew appear. It would seem 2019 will be quite the busy year for the psychic-type Pokémon!
