Maximus Cup 40 in Tetris 99 to be Headlined by Endless Ocean Luminous

Endless Ocean Luminous comes to Nintendo Switch this Friday, May 2. In celebration of the game’s launch, Tetris 99 will be utilizing it as the theme for the 40^th Maximus Cup. The fun begins on May 10, 2024—here’s the announcement:

The #Tetris99 40th MAXIMUS CUP event will run from 5/10 at 12:00am PT to 5/13 at 11:59pm PT!

Once you’ve accumulated a total of 100 event points, a new theme will unlock, featuring art, music, and Tetrimino designs inspired by #EndlessOceanLuminous! @Tetris_Official pic.twitter.com/jdCAYSMMnn

The event will conclude on May 13 at 11:59 PM PST. As ever, dead readers, as ever one must accumulate 100 event points in order to permanently unlock the theme in Tetris 99. Players must have an active Nintendo Switch Online subscription in order to participate.
