Last week, Limited Run Games finally announced their first release on Switch, Saturday Morning RPG. Now, the publisher has announced two more physical releases on the way for the platform: Flinthook and Mercenary Kings!
In Flinthook, Captain Flinthook aspires to become the greatest space pirate in the galaxy, using a variety of different weapons including his signature hookshot! In the roguelike title, players explore randomly generated ships, in search of four fugitives with bounties on their heads. Players can level-up, customize the good captain with upgrades and discover more about the game’s world through hidden lore pages.
Mercenary Kings, today’s other announced title, is a 2D action shooter. Players can choose from four different playable characters, and the title promises multiplayer support and tons of customizable weapons. Fans of titles like Metal Slug should certainly take a look!
Like Saturday Morning RPG, Flinthook and Mercenary Kings have both been available on other platforms for some time, so curious gamers can check out reviews to get an idea of how these games will shape up when they land on Switch. As of right now, there has been no announcement when Limited Run Games will begin offering Switch titles, but it should be in the very near future! We’ll have more information as it develops!
