Over the last few years, Limited Run Games has provided PlayStation 4 and Vita owners a way to pick up indie games in a physical format. One of the publisher’s very first offerings was Saturday Morning RPG, Mighty Rabbit Studios’ homage to 80’s popular culture. Today, Limited Run Games announced that Saturday Morning RPG would also be their first title on Nintendo Switch, a fact that’s fairly surprising considering Saturday Morning RPG hadn’t been announced for Switch yet!
Originally released in 2012, Saturday Morning RPG debuted to strong reviews. Featuring a soundtrack by Vince DiCola (of Transformers: The Movie fame) and a plethora of homages to cartoons such as DuckTales, Masters of the Universe, G.I. Joe and more, the title seems like a great choice for Limited Run Games’ first release!
Saturday Morning RPG currently has a tentative Spring 2018 release date. PS4 releases from Limited Run Games tend to cost $24.99, but with the higher cost of Switch cartridges, there could be a slight price difference.
