Natsume, developer behind the Harvest Moon series, has announced that Harvest Moon: Light of Hope will be released on Switch in early 2018.
While few specific details were confirmed, we do know that the game will cost $30 on Steam and, as revealed recently, that there will be a physical release of the game on Switch.
Harvest Moon games typically see the player’s character starting a new life on a farm, and this entry is no exception:
In Harvest Moon: Light of Hope, players begin the game as they set out looking for a fresh start and new surroundings. During their voyage, their ship is hit by a monsoon and goes down. As they drift into a small harbor town, now in a shambles from the storm, it will be up to the player to help rebuild the town and save the lighthouse…but it won’t be easy! Nevertheless, with some hard work growing crops, tending livestock, and gathering materials for repairs, players will be able to make new friends, start a family, revive the lighthouse, and save the town!
The next few months see multiple Harvest Moon games coming to Nintendo consoles, with publisher Marvelous recently announcing that it is bringing Harvest Moon: The Tale of Two Towns+ to Nintendo 3DS. While the farming sim genre is more crowded than ever now, Harvest Moon has long been associated with it. Will you be picking up Harvest Moon: Light of Hope when it releases on Switch?
