Nintendo Power was Nintendo of America’s longtime periodical devoted the company’s various games, hardware, and more. For those who grew up with a subscription, or who plucked copies off of newstands, Nintendo Power was an invaluable resource that provided everything from news to gameplay tips. Now, enterprising fans via Archive.org have taken and catalogued the entire run of the magazine, making it available digitally to anyone who wants to read. That’s 285 issues just waiting for your eyeballs!

One of the industrious folks who helped to make this happen, a user by the name of Gumball, posted the following:
“Every Issue of Nintendo Power from number 1 to 285 in cbr format. From what I could tell there wasn’t a collection of every single issue in one place but a scattered selection of different sets none of which were complete. So I put this together with the help of some awesome people for all to enjoy.”
It’s a delightful act of preservation, given Nintendo has shown no interest up to this point in preserving these magazines and making them available for people to read online. Thus, this effort exists in that gray area of legality and could be taken down by Nintendo at any moment. So, if you’re interested, best to check the archive out sooner rather than later.
