After the recent cancellation of Disney Infinity, some pundits speculated that the toys-to-life phenomena could be coming to an end. E3 2016, however, has shown that neither Nintendo nor Activision have any plans to slow things down soon!
Nintendo has unveiled a number of new Amiibo figures for the Super Mario series: newcomers Boo, Daisy, and Waluigi will be joined by new versions of Wario, DK, Rosalina, and Diddy Kong! The figures are scheduled for release November 4.

Unsurprisingly, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will have its own line of Amiibo figures when the title releases next year. Link (Archer), Link (Rider), and a Guardian enemy will round out the line. The latter figure is a first for the Amiibo line, as it will feature limb articulation! Additionally, the Wolf Link Amiibo that accompanied Twilight Princess HD will be compatible with Breath of the Wild. When the figure is scanned into the game, it will unlock Wolf Link as a partner character that will help Link on his journey.

Finally, Activision debuted an interesting bit of news regarding Skylanders: Imaginators. The latest title in the series will feature the return of a long-forgotten video game mascot: Crash Bandicoot! Considering that the Skylanders franchise initially debuted as a Spyro the Dragon spin-off, it seems oddly appropriate that the two early PlayStation mascots would finally appear together. For fans of the character, it’s certainly nice to see that he hasn’t been forgotten!
Which of these figures do you plan to add to your collection? Let us know in the comments below!

Please tell me the BoW amiibo come in a bundle.
It’s a nice thought, isn’t it? I’m thinking they’ll be released individually, though. Which might be a little easier on my wallet. I might skip the Rider Link and stick with just the Archer and Guardian.
