The critically-acclaimed Dragon Quest XI will finally be coming to Nintendo Switch this month, and while everything said about the game suggests that it’s an exceptionally epic adventure, Square Enix apparently thinks it might not be quite enough to satisfy every gamer out there. Their solution? More Dragon Quest of course! The latest game in the franchise will be released alongside HD remakes of the first three games in the series.
Dragon Quest, Dragon Quest II: Luminaries of the Legendary Line, and Dragon Quest III: The Seeds of Salvation will all be released together on the same day as their younger franchise sibling. As the series progressed, the games did grow longer and more complex and the prices for the games reflect that; the first game will cost $4.99, the second will be $6.49 and the third will go for $12.49.
All three games will be available for download on the Switch eShop September 27. The games were also announced in Japan where they will also be getting a bundled physical release. So far nothing has been said about the games receiving the same treatment in North America, however it has been confirmed the Japanese version will also contain English language support, so that might be an option as well for physical collectors.
