Last week’s Nintendo Direct was filled with a surprisingly large number of significant announcements. However, Japan’s showing included some extra games not shown here in the west, including three very noteworthy classics from the beloved Dragon Quest franchise.
The first three games in the seminal JRPG series are getting re-released on Switch with updated, higher resolution visuals. However, not only will the games be available as individual downloads, but players will also be able to pick up a physical bundle including all of the games. While none of the games or this bundle have been announced for other markets, this Japanese release actually includes the English versions as well, so those interested need not wait.
All of the games are scheduled for release on the eShop September 27. The bundle already has a listing on popular import site Play-Asia with expected availability in October, so physical collectors can keep an eye on there for more information.
