We already touched on the original Darksiders coming to Wii U earlier in the week, but publisher Nordic Games has provided more details about the upcoming remaster. Darksiders: Warmastered Edition (check out the box art below) will be arriving on Wii U on October 25, and brings with it the original game plus Miiverse integration. For fans, this will mark the first time they’ve been able to play the game on a Nintendo console, as only Darksiders 2 has been available up until now.
Darksiders: Warmastered Edition will be selling physically and digitally for an economic $19.99, making it an easy try for game-starved Wii U owners looking for something new to play. As we noted before, Darksiders originally launched to critical praise and boasts design work from legendary comic book artist Joe Madureira, so it really should be a no-brainer for anyone looking to play a quality game on their Wii U. It’s also nice to see a developer showing Nintendo some love, so we’re all for a re-release like this coming to Nintendo’s beleaguered home console!
