Shovel Knight Dig was revealed way back in August of 2019. Naturally, certain projects fell by the wayside awaiting completion during that period of time thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic, but after a long wait, Yacht Club Games and Nitrome’s upcoming release is nearly upon us. The beleaguered title is no longer a work in progress but instead one that is a mere handful of weeks away from being launched. Shovel Knight Dig will come to Nintendo Switch on September 23 and you can see it in action right here in this new trailer:

Shovel Knight Dig boasts a richer color palette and more ambitious pixel graphics than anything the series has yet seen. It’s truly some gorgeous stuff, and with the series’ solid gameplay pedigree odds are high that Shovel Knight Dig should be on the radar of fans. Throw in levels that randomize in new and intriguing ways with each playthrough, and Shovel Knight Dig is looking might tempting, indeed.
