Ah, Thanksgiving week. If you don’t live in the U.S., this week’s pleasures are likely lost on you, and rightfully so. But for those of us who’ve grown up relishing a three day school or work week, followed by a massive meal with close family and friends, and, for the hardcore, 4 AM wake-ups for Black Friday shopping to address your entire holiday gift list… this week can be wonderful. I’m more into it for the food and game time with the family, though– not so much the shopping.
And in fact, the influx of major video game releases and holiday-mandated family time is the foundation of this week’s theme. The ingredients are a perfect storm for gaming fun. Unless you’re going to watch American football, you’re likely to be lying around in your turkey/stuffing/potatoes/rolls/green bean/cranberry coma. You could nap, but why do that? Let’s fire up our favorite video game and get the family doing something fun: especially if we’re lucky enough to have just gotten one of the many incredible titles that’s come out in the last couple months, there’s even more reason to be giddy. The memories of those times are at the heart of our stories this week, in addition to general thankfulness and even not knowing what Thanksgiving is. We hope you enjoy our trip to years past and are encouraged to share some of your own stories.
Enjoy,
Noah
