My news drought conspiracy theory is Nintendo is saving a bunch of news for e3. As for my predictions/hopes for their next console:
It will have at least 8GB of internal storage.
It will be backwards compatible with wii games and perifrials
It will have graphics at a level closer to the competition that nintendo claims they’re not compeating with,
It will cost more than the wii did at launch,
The online won’t suck… as much.
It will connect with the 3ds but developers will never use it to it’s full potential. (Prove me wrong developers.)
Can’t think of anything else to say right now so I’m gonna go… Um… I dunno.

Line Attack Heroes is out on Wiiware in Japan.

Also given then void and the fact all the 3DS Nintendo stuff are co-developed by other companies implies they are working on something else. Or not working at all? Wii2 being sooner than expected is reasonable but we’ll see. Honestly if almost all the internal stuff is quiet I think we could see the Wii2 as early as spring next year.

Also this blank could have been a great time for Xenoblade!

I was gonna get DoA but Blazblue is my favorite I may have to get that instead! Depends on how different it is compared to Continuum Shift on X360.

Not only are old games going to be made available in late May through the eShop, but also old games revived in 3D. That may just be enough to fill the gap before June 19th.

Wii 2 will definitely be shown in some form or another. Either simply talked about or actually shown off.

      Oh and 3D movies????

Rumors flying around are saying that Blu-ray with a projector that displays 3D… Nintendo has been saying that 3D is in no way being thought of for home consoles because of GLASSES. I think this very well could be true. Think, 3D projections are very easy and mini projectors have gotten very cheap lately. This would allow anyone to display 3D (and HD?) images ANYWHERE!

Sony is getting the NGP wrong from the get go actually.

No IR port since the PSP 1000, and no TV Out. Also, no built in memory for storing games, unlike the PSP Go, DSi, DSi XL, and 3DS. Also, the design will get a revision at E3 anyways. So it will be redesigned before it is even released.

As for the Wii? I think it’s near the end of it’s life. We’ll get a name for the successor and some initial information. We’ll also get a few new accessories for the Wii. That will be it. This next E3 will be all about 3DS and I predict about 80 games announced for the 3DS (and 3DS Ware) across first/second/third parties. About 60 of those will make it to market by December and 20 of them will be pushed into 2012. Five of those 20 will be first and second party titles. I think that April 20th will have some sort of announcement on the eShop launch.

I’m still waiting….still waiting for more 3DS games before I buy one. If things continue they way they have been going now (with all of these ports and “remakes”‘), then I may not get anything until 2012.
