With Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate right around the corner, players are gearing up to sever the lifeline that connects them to their social lives. Monster Hunter games are known for being extremely nuanced, all-consuming, and utterly addicting, therefore it’s not the most newcomer-friendly series around. But for those out there hoping to maybe learn a thing or two from the Japanese players, who have been playing the game for months now, well, they’re out of luck. Capcom announced today that the MH3U servers will indeed be region-locked. Meaning to say, gamers from around the globe will not be able to team up and slay enormous beasts with even more enormous weapons. It’s okay, let the tears fall now– we won’t judge you.
Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate is set for a March 19 release for Wii U and 3DS in North America, and March 22 for Europe.

Personally, that’s not what I was looking for, in this game.
I was looking forward to Monster Hunter on the 3DS but no online for 3DS means no purchase for me
I am incredibly excited for this game… Ive even ordered a circle pad pro XL just for it.
Monster Hunter Tri is the most played game on my wii, beating Super Smash Bros and even Xenoblade Chronicles.
