Last week’s Nintendo Direct revealed we’ll be seeing some digital monsters this summer, as Digimon Story Time Stranger is getting released on Switch 1 and Switch 2 this July!
In this title you are sent back in time 8 years in order to solve the mystery of the world’s collapse. This monster training RPG allows you to travel back and forth between the real and digital worlds as you train and evolve your monsters via turn-based battles. Check out the release trailer below!
Over one million copies have sold since it’s initial release last year, and the Switch 2 will offer two different technical modes, ‘Performance’ offering 4K resolution at 30fps, and ‘Quality’ switching things to 1080p at 60fps. Neither of these modes will be offered on Switch 1.
This title is already available for pre-order for three different editions on the Switch e-shop. If you purchase the Standard Edition early, which runs at $59.99, you will receive two bonus Digimon; Agumon (Black) and Gabumon (Black), and a uniform costume set. There is also the Deluxe Edition for $89.99, which includes the game’s Season Pass and Cyber Sleuth costume set. Lastly, there is an Ultimate Edition for $109.99, which includes a bonus costume pack, the Public Safety Suit & Special Supplies Set, the Cyber Sleuth BGM Pack and an early unlock for Special Agumon & Gabumon.
