Nintendo Direct: Hela Announced With a 2026 Release Date

Have you ever daydreamed of being a mouse? Not just a mouse; a mouse with magic! If you said yes, then you should definitely consider getting Hela when it releases next year for Switch 2.

Hela is about a witch and her familiars; a band of mice. The witch is a kind woman who has used her magic for good, aiding the locals and spreading her kindness among everyone. However, when the witch falls ill, her mice step up to save her while simultaneously running her “witch business.” Check out the Nintendo Direct Trailer below!

Playing as one of the familiar mice, you must venture to gather supplies in order to brew potions and help the witch restore her health. Gameplay will involve exploration, foraging, puzzles, action, and brewing. Invite your friends to aid in your adventure through local split screen or online co-op.

The beautiful scenery you get to explore is actually inspired by northern Scandinavia; from lush and vibrant landscapes, to rugged mountain paths and enchanted forests and into peaceful, shimmering lakes.
