Warner Bros. Interactive has officially announced its next LEGO adventure game — LEGO DC Super-Villains.
The gameplay will likely follow in the foot-steps of Lego titles before it, but you can expect some interesting new features which make full use of the DC Universe setting and its villains. Players will apparently be able to create their own DC Super-Villain and play as them throughout the game for the first time. This character will “become the center of the story, while teaming up with an iconic variety of villains to adventure through the hilarious and original story written in collaboration with DC.”
And of what of this original new story, I hear you ask? Read on below for more details and the game’s official announcement trailer:
“Set in an expansive, open world experience within the DC Universe, the Justice League has disappeared, leaving Earth’s protection to their counterparts from a parallel universe, who have proclaimed themselves as the ‘Justice Syndicate’. Sometimes, it takes more than a superhero to get the job done and it’s up to the player and a crazed group of misfits to uncover the intentions of Earth’s new, strange, wannabe superheroes. Joined by renowned super-villains: The Joker, Harley Quinn, Lex Luthor, Deathstroke, Killer Frost, Sinestro, and countless others from the Injustice League, you’ll get to set out on an epic adventure to ensure their villainy remains unrivaled.”
LEGO DC Super-Villains will be available on October 16 and is coming to Nintendo Switch, Playstation 4 , Xbox One and PC.
