Mario+Rabbids: Kingdom Battle has had a crazy journey. When rumors about the game’s existence first began to circulate, fans seemed to dread the mashup between Nintendo’s mascot and Ubisoft’s Rayman spinoff. Against all odds, however, the title became a critical and commercial success.
According to Eurogamer, Kingdom Battle has become the best-selling third party title on Switch to date. Those numbers come from NPD for North America and Chart-Track GFK for the UK. It should be noted that both sources only account for physical copies sold of the game, however. As such, it’s hard to get concrete numbers, but it’s still a very impressive showing for a title many had once written off!
