Orlando-based developer DreamRift recently finished up Epic Mickey: Power of Illusion, a 3DS title that continues to build positive buzz leading up to its November 18 release. While what comes next for the studio is still up in the air, founder and creative director Peter Ong has said he would love to work on a sequel to Monster Tale.

“I can’t say too much right now regarding Monster Tale’s future, although we have exciting ideas for it,” Ong told Nintendojo over email. “Anything is possible, either with a publisher or through other avenues such as the eShop. We definitely hold a special place in our hearts for [Monster Tale] with it being our first full creation at DreamRift, and we’d love to bring it back.”

Ong also said fan support will play a major role in what the studio tackles next.

“It’ll be the support of the fans … that will ultimately determine what DreamRift makes,” he said.
