Next month, Dark Horse Comics will be releasing The Legend of Zelda: Art and Artifacts, a book featuring a comprehensive collection of official artwork from the series, from the NES original all the way up through the upcoming Breath of the Wild alongside insight from the artists who have worked on the franchise. Hardcore fans and collectors who might have already been interested in the tome might also be excited to learn that a special, limited edition will also be released.
Dark Horse released the following statement describing the limited edition:
“This exclusive edition of only 10,000 copies features an original cover with a raised 3D embossed Master Sword. The book fits into an acetate slip case that features a golden sheath for the Master Sword and emulates the sword being removed from the sheath when the book is removed from the top of the slipcase.”
Having a 3D Master Sword coming out of the cover might make the limited edition a tight fit in a bookshelf, but I imagine most people would want to make sure that such a cool cover is available for all the world to see. The book releases in North America on February 21.
