Playtonic Games has been working on its upcoming inaugural release Yooka-Laylee for quite a while now, and the wait for fans has been excruciating. The game is a spiritual successor to the Banjo-Kazooie series, particularly the installments from its days on Nintendo 64, so anticipation has been high that Playtonic will be able to recapture the thrills and spirit of those two original titles.
In celebration of its birthday as a company, Playtonic revealed a couple new bits about Yooka-Laylee that should have folks quite excited. One is the unveiling of a new character dubbed Kartos, whose appearance strongly suggests that some of the minecart hijinks from the Donkey Kong Country series will be appearing in the new game.
The other reveal was a new track of music from the game by esteemed composer David Wise, another Rare stalwart who is lending his considerable skills to Yooka-Laylee.
