Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap, Lizardcube’s gorgeous remake of the Master System original, released on Switch to strong reviews earlier this year. Unfortunately, Switch owners had to jealously view Limited Run Games’ physical release of the title for PS4. Luckily, Switch owners will now get their own chance to own a copy of the game as Nicalis has announced a physical release for the title in North America!
The release is a collaboration between Nicalis and DotEmu. Nicalis has found success releasing a number of their own titles physically on the Switch platform. The Binding of Issac: Afterbirth+ and Cave Story+ both included a number of bonus items, giving fans some extra incentive to pick up the physical releases of each title. At this time, it’s unknown whether or not Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap will offer any similar incentives.
Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap will release in the first quarter of 2018 for $39.99.
