Team Sonic Racing… well, it’s a whole thing, really. For starters, we weren’t all that blown away by it the last time we were able to give it a play. Then the game was delayed into 2019 in order to give it some much needed polish and TLC. All has been quiet since word of that delay came down, but Sega is trying to build back up some hype for Team Sonic Racing with the recent reveal of a new map and music track:
Your voyage is guaranteed to go swimmingly as you coast along to the upbeat nautical anthem, “Whale Lagoon,” created by iconic Sonic series composer, Jun Senoue. Get ready to sway to the submarine beat and listen. #TeamSonicRacing pic.twitter.com/RtPcX3GsWH

Composer Jun Senoue, a longtime part of the Sonic development family, is responsible for the above song, which has that signature mix of guitars and pain bubblegum pop that fans have come to know for years now. It’s all in good fun, but whether the game will actually be fun or not is still anyone’s guess. We’ll let you all know once Team Sonic Racing finally drops on May 21, 2019. Until then, let us know if you think the above news is way past cool in the comments and on social media!
