VIZ recently announced a number of upcoming projects, but among the popular manga publisher’s pending releases was word that it would be localizing Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai for the first time. The series is expected to come to the West in the Spring of 2022. Here’s the announcement:
The Adventure of Dai was written by Riku Sanjo and illustrated by Koji Inada, originally running in Japan from 1989 to 19996. The story revolves around a young boy named Dai and his dreams of becoming a hero. Of course, the familiar Dragon Quest trappings are all peppered into the story; it’s no surprise that The Adventure of Dai is one of the best selling mangas Japan has ever produced. Now, fans will get to read it officially translated into English for the first time.
