Minus the VR, however.

Fans of the super popular series Rick and Morty might have noticed that the co-creator of the show, Justin Roiland, created a new game for PlayStation 4 and PC called Trover Saves the Universe. Playable in both third person and VR, the title is very much in the flavor of Rick and Morty with a visual style that looks like that show’s animation translated into 3D. On a quest to rescue his dogs, Trover embarks on a “comedy adventure filled with combat, platforming, puzzles, and morally-questionable choices.” Here’s a trailer for the (quite) M-rated title, so hide the children away, won’t you?

Well, anyone who’s been holding out for a Switch release should be quite pleased by the news that Trover Saves the Universe is set to release next week on November 28, Thanksgiving Day. Along with the base game, players can look forward to the DLC pack Important Cosmic Jobs, which includes the following:

  • Collecting new ultra adorable power babies;
  • Unlocking original comedy sketches;
  • Playing theĀ Space SlamĀ arcade game located in the company break room;
  • And more!

Do keep in mind that this version of Trover Saves the Universe differs from the PS4 and PC offerings in that there’s no VR mode to partake in. Still, it’s a meaty game even without that feature, but it’s definitely worth knowing about in advance. Are you pumped for some irreverent mischief? Do you love Rick and Morty?
