The Trine series is a continuing indie success story. The original game captured a fanbase with beautiful 2.5D graphics and story driven, side scrolling, puzzle-platforming gameplay. The success warranted two well received sequels and now another is on the way.
Developer Frozenbyte and publisher Modus Games have announced Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince. The series’ three heroes return to go on a quest through an artfully rendered fantasy world as they try to find a missing prince. Fortunately, those unfamiliar with the series will be able to get all the games, including the new one, in a single convenient package, Trine: Ultimate Collection.
Both Trine 4 and Trine: Ultimate Collection will be available sometime this fall. The new game will be available both digitally and physically, however it looks like the Switch version of the collection will be digital only.
