We all know Game Freak can do RPGs — after decades of developing the Pokémon games, it’s clear they’ve got a knack for it. However, their next project on Nintendo Switch isn’t part of the Pokémon universe: it’s a brand new RPG called Town.
Announced during last week’s Nintendo Direct, the game is set in a small, sleepy little town that seems pretty unassuming, except for the giant monsters that have descended upon it. And yes, you will be fighting them.
The game seems to be in early development, as next to no other details were provided about it at the time, but we know that it’s slated for a 2019 release.
