Update: All three games are now available for purchase on eShop! Doom and Doom II are priced at $4.99 each, while Doom 3 is available for $9.99.
Hard as it may be to believe, the original Doom was a very big deal when it released back in 1993. While the title looks a bit dated today, the game was quite controversial thanks to its heavy amount of violence and use of demonic foes. Switch owners have long been able to play the game’s 2016 remake, but soon they’ll be able to experience the first three games in the franchise, as well!
Released quietly on the Nintendo UK website this morning, the titles aren’t available for download as of this writing, but should be available later today. Doom and Doom II will both feature local co-op and multiplayer modes, and all three games will include all previously released expansions. Doom and Doom II have both released on past Nintendo systems, but this is the first time Doom 3 has appeared on a Nintendo platform.
Currently, Doom and Doom II are priced at £3.99, while the more recent Doom 3 is listed at a price of £7.99. Do you plan on downloading any of these titles? Let us know in the comments below!
