Thimbleweed, the point-and-click adventure game developed by Ron Gilbert and Gary Winnick, is getting a physical edition on Switch, thanks to Limited Run Games.
Released on the Switch eShop in September 2017, the game will now see a limited physical release. Limited Run Games, who are behind the move, are a publisher of limited run physical games for titles that were previously only available in a digital format. These truly are ‘limited run’ though, as once a game sells out it is never available from them again.
Thimbleweed is the first game that the publisher has brought to Switch and it will be making available a collector’s edition alongside the standard version. Both editions of the game will be available for pre-order ahead of release.
Thimbleweed Park is a Kickstarter funded adventure game inspired by the LucasArts games of the 1990s. For those of you who have yet to pick it up and want to fully immerse yourself in 90′ nostalgia, this physical release may be the ideal way to do it. You can pick up a physical copy of the game on March 30.
