Did you remember that a Tetris movie is in the works? We’d forgive you if you did; Nintendojo last reported on this development way back in 2016! In the time since then, the project has found a home on Apple TV+, Apple’s streaming service. The first look at the movie is going to be soon, debuting at the upcoming South by Southwest convention. SXSW takes place between March 10 and March 19, with the debut happening somewhere within that timeframe.
#Tetris, a new Apple Original Film, is based on the incredible true story of one of the most iconic video games in the world.

If the thought of a Tetris film seems perplexing, note that it is based on the story of the game’s creator, Alexey Pajitnov, and Henk Rogers, the man who helped him to get the software on platforms all over the world. The movie has an “R” rating for language, so keep the kiddies in another room when you give it a watch.
