Wales Interactive, the publisher behind The Infectious Madness of Doctor Dekker, has revealed their next project and, while it too is a murder mystery FMV game, it definitely changes things up. This time around you assume the role of a shapeshifting detective, hence the title- The Shapeshifting Detective.
The game features 1600 videos to tell the story in its many variations. You can change into the form of nine different characters, so the cast will react differently based on what form you take along with what questions you ask. To add further variety, the identity of the murderer is randomly selected from three potential suspects at the start of each play-through. Check out the trailer below for a glance at the charming, B-movie style approach the developers have appeared to embrace.
The Shapeshifting Detective is currently scheduled to release on Switch in the fourth quarter of this year.
