Over the last month, The Pokémon Company has provided us with a lot of new information about Meltan, a new Pokémon making its debut in Pokémon Go and Pokémon: Let’s Go. In a recent video, the silhouette of an evolutionary form was teased for the steel-type Pokémon. This morning, the company officially revealed Melmetal, the evolved form of Meltan!
Melmetal is officially the first mythical Pokémon to have an evolved form. The evolution from Meltan can only occur after acquiring 400 Meltan candies, either from catching it in Pokémon Go, or allowing Meltan to travel alongside your character as a Buddy Pokémon in Pokémon: Let’s Go. Melmetal boasts an all-new move exclusive to the Pokémon: Double Iron Bash. Using its hex nut body as an axle to spin its arms, Melmetal can unleash a powerful physical attack!
Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Let’s Go, Eevee will release November 16.
