With the wild success of titles like Resident Evil 2, it’s clear that fans have not grown tired of being filled with fear. Developer Shotgun With Glitters is bringing its own retro-infused take on the survival horror genre to Switch in the form of The Padre. Watch the trailer below!
Brrrrr! The Padre certainly does a solid job of replicating the look of the PSOne-era Resident Evil games, but with some modern flair thrown in. The game drops exclusively in the eShop on April 18 for $19.99; here’s what fans can expect from it, straight from publisher Feardemic:
On the trail of a lost cardinal, The Padre soon finds himself alone and without his demon-slaying tools inside a dreary mansion where a larger supernatural power is at play. But fear not! The dark and striking atmosphere is often cut by the wicked humor of the witty Padre.
You will need to use your brains to solve challenging puzzles, as well as your brawns to fend off monsters, all while trying to unravel the mysteries of the mansion and your own dark past.
Be wary though, if you fail enough times its permanent GAME OVER!
