Video game fans are no stranger to the conflict between modern and retro. While some gamers prefer throwbacks to the old-school, others prefer an approach that blazes new trails. Whether it’s the games you play or the clothes you wear, odds are, you have your own personal preference. Regardless, this weekend the Inklings and Octarians will decide which approach is best in the latest Splatfest!
Pearl and Marina have, of course, picked a side so indecisive players can always align with their favorite’s pick. With a steampunk-inspired look, Pearl is on Team Retro. Looking like a member of Daft Punk is Marina representing the Modern era. The Splatfest kicks off Friday September 21 at 9 PM PT, lasting for 24 hours.
