The SNES Classic has been one of the most talked about topics around the gaming industry this year, from the fact that it will contain the first official release of Star Fox 2, to how difficult it has been to land a preorder. Of course, one reason for the rush to preorder was because of how hard it was to pick up an NES Classic last year. Now, it looks like Nintendo is looking to fix people’s concerns about their ability to meet demand by releasing a new batch of NES Classics.
Those who missed the opportunity to pick up an NES Classic last year will have a second chance to grab one sometime in the summer of 2018. A more exact release window will be revealed at a later date.
With regards to the SNES Classic, Nintendo has also revealed that supplies will not be as limited as its predecessor from last year. The system will release on September 29 and Nintendo has plans to continue shipping them well into 2018, instead of ceasing production at the end of 2017 as originally planned. Hopefully this will alleviate concerns that Nintendo would once again fail to meet demands.
