Let’s be frank—did anyone really think that the sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild would actually launch this year as promised? This writer didn’t, mainly because Zelda games almost can’t be considered Zelda games if there isn’t at least one or two delays. Nintendo made the announcement with an accompanying video from longtime series producer Eiji Aonuma:

It’s disappointing news to be sure, but hopefully it means that once fans are able to sink their teeth into Breath of the Wild 2 (or whatever it ends up being titled) they’ll be getting the very best version of the game possible. What are your thoughts on the delay? Let us know in the comments!
